Recap: Menendez Falcons vs. Oakleaf Knights
The Menendez Falcons lost to the Oakleaf Knights back in January, but the Menendez Falcons didn't allow the Oakleaf Knights the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Menendez enjoyed a cozy 65-48 win over Oakleaf. That looming 65-48 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Menendez yet this season.
Menendez was led to victory by Cj Clark and Christopher Roberts. Clark dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Roberts scored 24 points. Another player making a difference was Kareem Preston, who scored seven points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Menendez has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. As for Oakleaf, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.
Menendez will be home for the holidays to greet Palatka at 7:20 p.m. on Friday. Palatka presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Menendez in Florida (Palatka is ranked 167th, while Menendez is ranked 339th). As for Oakleaf, they will head out on the road to face off against Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clay will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
