With a playoff win on the line, Box Elder rose to the challenge on Thursday. They blew past the Bonneville Lakers 11-1. Considering the Bees have won 20 contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Box Elder got a great performance from Lucy Braegger as she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Braegger has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alexis Hales, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-2. Kailee Hall also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Box Elder lost a few balls and finished the game with five home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bonneville didn't launched any home runs.

Box Elder has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Bonneville, their loss dropped their record down to 9-17.

Box Elder will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lakers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
