Softball Recap: Monte Vista Christian Comes Up Short

Monte Vista Christian lost against Soledad back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Monte Vista Christian Mustangs fell 10-6 to the Soledad Aztecs. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monte Vista Christian got a massive performance out of Samantha Bertoldi, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits Bertoldi has posted since back in March of 2024. Addie Boles was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Even though they lost, Monte Vista Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive matches.

Monte Vista Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Soledad, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Monte Vista Christian will welcome Alisal at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Soledad, they will head out on the road to take on Rancho San Juan at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
