Triangle Math & Science faced Panther Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Tigers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Catamounts. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (96-93) Triangle Math & Science actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 15-25, 28-26.

Leading Triangle Math & Science to victory were Chris Lange and Shankara Dhamodaran. Lange had three digs and three aces, while Dhamodaran had 16 digs and two assists. The dominant performance also gave Lange a new career-high in assists (39).

They weren't the only good server: Triangle Math & Science was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 12 consecutive games.

Triangle Math & Science pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Panther Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Triangle Math & Science will venture away from home to take on Falls Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Panther Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
