For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Notre Dame Academy and Burncoat meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Rebels came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Rebels, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 25-16.

Phoebe Doyle paced Notre Dame Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Doyle got some help from Dana Howling Wolf Keller and her 13 assists. Doyle was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Notre Dame Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame Academy will head out on the road to challenge St. Paul at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Burncoat, they will host Doherty Memorial at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Patriots' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
