Santa Catalina had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They suffered a tough 16-0 defeat at the hands of the King City Mustangs on Tuesday. Santa Catalina has struggled against King City recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

For King City's part, Alizah Carrillo made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (she also only allowed one walk). Carrillo was even better at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Lisa Villanueva was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Amber Mercado, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI.
