Recap: Bluffton Bobcats vs. Hampton County Hurricanes
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Bluffton Bobcats ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They slipped by Hampton County 49-48. For Bluffton, this counts as revenge for the 58-44 defeat Hampton County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bluffton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Bryant, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maciah Hamilton, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Bluffton's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Hampton County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bluffton won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Islands at 6:30 p.m. on November 29th. Islands will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 361st in Georgia, while Bluffton is ranked 108th in South Carolina). As for Hampton County, they will head out on the road to face off against Allendale-Fairfax at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
