Basketball Recap: Andrada Polytechnic Comes Up Short

Andrada Polytechnic lost against Santa Cruz Valley back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mavericks took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dust Devils. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Andrada Polytechnic still got an impressive performance from Chasen Lewellyn, who shot 73% from the field to rack up 16 points in addition to eight boards and five blocks. Thanks to that strong game, Lewellyn now owns an excellent 50% shooting accuracy. Alex Forsell was another key player, putting up four points.

Andrada Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Santa Cruz Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Andrada Polytechnic will welcome San Miguel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mavericks will be up against the Vipers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.8 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Santa Cruz Valley, they will host San Manuel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
