Volleyball Recap: United's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

United entered their tilt with McAllen Memorial on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Mustangs. This was a revenge game for the Longhorns: when they faced off against the Mustangs last Tuesday, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Camila Santos paced United's offense, picking up 12 kills. Santos got some help from Ashlet Figueroa and her 20 assists. Anakaren Garcia controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

United's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for McAllen Memorial, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 15-1.

United wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Harlan on the 23rd. As for McAllen Memorial, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Clemens on the 23rd.
