Moon Area won the last time they faced Montour and things went their way on Monday too. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Spartans 5-4.

Katie DeMarco spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cami Chambers was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Ray, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The victory got Moon Area back to even at 7-7. As for Montour, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moon Area will face off against West Allegheny at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Montour, they will take on Carrick at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
