Baseball Recap: Westfall Takes a Loss

Westfall suffered their biggest loss since April 26, 2024 on Monday. They lost 12-3 to the Zane Trace Pioneers. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Westfall saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Wright, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Westfall has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season. As for Zane Trace, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Westfall is set to square off against their familiar foe Adena at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Zane Trace will face off against rival Piketon at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
