Softball Recap: Guilford Comes Up Short

Guilford fell victim to Hononegah and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 18-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in April.

Guilford has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Hononegah, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

Coming up, Guilford will be playing at home against Harlem at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Huskies' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hononegah, they will head out on the road to challenge Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The J-Hawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
