Volleyball Recap: Lennard Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lennard suffered their biggest loss since September 11th on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Newsome Wolves. The Longhorns have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-11.

Kahlyn Prieto paced Lennard's offense, picking up six kills. Prieto got some help from Maliyah Ferrera and her ten assists. Finally, Madelyn Briggs kept Lennard's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Newsome can attribute much of their success to Saige Timmerman, who had 15 assists and three aces. That's the most aces Timmerman has posted over her last two matchups.

Lennard's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Newsome, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Lennard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Plant City on the 25th. As for Newsome, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Bradenton Christian on the 27th.
