Volleyball Recap: Dixon Extends Winning Streak to Three

Dixon entered their tilt with North Boone on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Vikings. That's more bragging rights for the Dukes & Duchesses, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Dixon might've won, it sure wasn't easy: North Boone scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18.

Dixon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Presley Lappin led the charge by getting nine assists and four digs.

Dixon's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for North Boone, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Dixon will take on rival Stillman Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, North Boone is set to challenge their familiar foe Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
