Baseball Recap: Venus Comes Up Short

Venus managed to slip by Alvarado the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs came up short against the Indians on Friday, falling 14-0. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Venus' loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Alvarado, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-9.

Venus will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Itasca at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wampus Cats have averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season. Alvarado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
