Softball Recap: Mt. Shasta Bears vs. Etna Lions

In what's become a running theme this season, Mt. Shasta gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They put the hurt on the Etna Lions with a sharp 15-4 win. The victory was familiar territory for Mt. Shasta who now have four in a row.

Emily Pigoni and Kaley Lanier made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Pigoni tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Lanier tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. At bat, Pigoni scored a run while going 1-for-4, while Lanier got on base in three of her five plate appearances with a home run, two runs, and a stolen base.

In other batting news, Kaira Rekhi was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played.
