Ray waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Carroll Tigers 80-51. Given the Texans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Tigers are ranked 650th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ray pushed their record up to 18-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Carroll, they now have a losing record at 12-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ray will venture away from home to take on Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carroll, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Carroll Tigers challenge the Gregory-Portland Wildcats at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Gregory-Portland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 games -- so hopefully Carroll likes a good challenge.
