Baseball Recap: Munford Has No Trouble Against Memphis Home Education Association

While Munford put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Memphis Home Education Association. The Cougars put the hurt on Memphis Home Education Association with a sharp 13-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Houston Yount was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Yount was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Curly Lowry was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Brodie Fortner, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Munford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Munford's record now sits at 10-6. As for Memphis Home Education Association, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-7-1.
