Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hermitage). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-34 victory over the J.R. Tucker Tigers on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Hermitage can attribute much of their success to Jordyn McQuinn-Hamlin, who posted 21 points.

Hermitage's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for J.R. Tucker, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Hermitage didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-23 loss against Glen Allen on the 17th. As for J.R. Tucker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 40-19 defeat against Freeman on the 17th.
