Wheelersburg strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Boyd County Lions. Considering the Pirates have won 17 matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Wheelersburg pushed their record up to 22-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Boyd County, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-15.
