Preview: South Side Rams vs. Rochester Rams
The South Side Rams's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Rochester Rams at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (South Side is ranked 449th, while Rochester is ranked 445th).
South Side's last matchup with Northgate could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's the two teams on Friday. South Side was beaten by Northgate 78-41. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for South Side in their matchups with Northgate: they've now lost four in a row.
Rochester posted their biggest win since December 11, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 55-32 margin over Western Beaver.
South Side bumped their record down to 7-7 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Rochester, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.
South Side came out on top in a nail-biter against Rochester in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, sneaking past 55-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Side since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
