Basketball Recap: Tri-Township Takes a Loss

Tri-Township lost against Culver Community back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tri-Township Tigers took a 40-21 bruising from the Culver Community Cavaliers. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Despite the loss, Tri-Township still got an impressive performance from Ethan Dailey, who posted six points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Dailey a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Kade Koselke, who earned two points along with eight rebounds and five steals.

Culver Community's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonas McCuen led the charge by putting up 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Jackson, who put up 12 points.

Tri-Township's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Culver Community, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-18.

Tri-Township didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 39-31 defeat against Hammond Academy of Science & Tech on the 22nd. As for Culver Community, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Knox at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Culver Community is facing Knox at the right time seeing as Knox is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
