Basketball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They were dealt a 62-13 defeat at the hands of the Altus Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-13 back in December of 2024.

Marshall's record is now 1-20. As for Altus, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11.

Marshall and Altus could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Marshall (ranked 421st) will meet Midwest City (ranked 158th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Altus will square off against Classen SAS at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 157 places (285 vs. 128).
