Baseball Recap: Lake County Comes Up Short

Lake County lost against Dresden back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Falcons fell 9-5 to the Lions. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lake County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chance Estes, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Estes has become a key player for the Falcons: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-15-1 otherwise. Cade Lanier was another, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Lake County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16-1. As for Dresden, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

While Lake County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
