Volleyball Game Preview: Georgetown G-Men vs. Blanchester Wildcats

Georgetown is 0-7 against Blanchester since September of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The G-Men will be taking part in a tournament against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Blanchester took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Georgetown, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Georgetown turned things around against Manchester on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Greyhounds with a sharp 3-0 victory. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the G-Men yet this season.

Georgetown walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-21, 25-11, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Blanchester came up short against Yellow Springs on Monday and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-13, 22-25, 25-21.

Blanchester's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Georgetown, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.

Georgetown might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Blanchester when the teams last played back in September of 2022. Can the G-Men avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
