Baseball Recap: Gentry Takes a Loss

If Gentry was riding high fresh off their 15-9 takedown of Valley Springs last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gentry Pioneers lost 11-4 to the Providence Academy Patriots on Tuesday. The loss was the Pioneers' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gentry fell to 3-1. As for Providence Academy, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gentry will welcome South Side at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Providence Academy, they will be playing at home against Lavaca at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
