Basketball Recap: Fort Kent Takes Down Penquis Valley in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Fort Kent walked away with it. They blew past the Penquis Valley Patriots, posting an 82-44 victory. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Patriots are ranked 87th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fort Kent now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Penquis Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.

Looking ahead, Fort Kent will take on Hodgdon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Penquis Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
