Volleyball Recap: Saratoga Takes a Loss

Saratoga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Wilcox Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in March.

Saratoga was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 25-16.

Saratoga's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Wilcox, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Saratoga is set to challenge their familiar foe Fremont at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wilcox will face off against rival Gunn at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
