Basketball Recap: Gray Stone Day Takes a Loss

Gray Stone Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 61-38 to the Lee Park Prep Knights .

Despite the loss, Gray Stone Day still got an impressive performance from Colt Greer, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 19 boards. The dominant performance gave Greer a new career-high in points.

Isaac Watkins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lee Park Prep, going 9 of 18 on his way to 25 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Watkins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole O' Donoghue, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Gray Stone Day's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lee Park Prep, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Gray Stone Day will take on South Davidson in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Gray Stone Day is facing South Davidson at the right time seeing as South Davidson is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Lee Park Prep, they will head out to challenge Metrolina Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 20th.
