Football Game Preview: Blake Yellow Jackets vs. Brandon Eagles + How To Watch

Blake is 7-2 against Brandon since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Yellow Jackets will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Blake has three straight wins, Brandon has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Blake is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 58-0 victory over King. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Yellow Jackets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Lions are ranked 503rd).

It was another big night for Eddie Mamudi, who threw for 250 yards and five touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Blake is undefeated when Mamudi posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise. Jadarian Collins was Mamudi's top target, picking up 85 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Blake's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Winsor Lormera, Ashton Goggins, and Emmanuel Francois, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in King's side was Lormera, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made six total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Brandon was beaten by Hillsborough 62-6 last Friday.

Blake now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Brandon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Blake against Brandon in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 37-0 win. Do the Yellow Jackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
