Volleyball Recap: Seymour Indians vs. Barry Western Wildcats
Seymour lost against Barry Western last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indians fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Seymour sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 20-25, 15-6.
Lexi Window paced Seymour's offense, picking up seven kills. Window really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with nine. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Leading Barry Western to victory were Alysa Bareis and Allison Woods. Bareis had seven digs and two aces, while Woods had four digs and two aces. Woods is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.
Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 13-21. As for Barry Western, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season.
Seymour didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Pittsfield on the 23rd. As for Barry Western, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Astoria/VIT on the 28th.
