Soccer Game Preview: Lake Park vs. St. Charles North

The Lake Park Lancers will square off against the St. Charles North North Stars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Park will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Lake Park is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 8-4 margin over Willowbrook on Saturday. Jakub Nowicki was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, St. Charles North scored first but ultimately less than Hampshire in their matchup on Saturday. They fell 5-3 to the Whip-Purs.

St. Charles North used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Hampshire. Gus Pickelsimer played for 60 minutes having averaged 15.9 this season and Eddy Torres got 60 vs. an average of 30.3. Torres made the most of the opportunity, scoring two goals A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

St. Charles North's loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5-3. As for Lake Park, their win bumped their record up to 13-3-3.
