Recap: Palmview Lobos vs. Economedes Jaguars
The Palmview Lobos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 22 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Economedes 84-38 at home. Winning may never get old, but Palmview sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Leading Palmview to victory were Adrian Ibarra and Joe Gonzalez. Ibarra scored 18 points along with eight assists and three steals, while Gonzalez scored 26 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The matchup was Gonzalez's 19th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Leonardo Rivero, who scored 11 points.
Palmview has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Economedes, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
Palmview will head out on the road to face off against United South at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. United South knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Palmview likes a good challenge. Economedes will be home for the holidays to greet Hanna at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hanna presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Economedes in Texas (Hanna is ranked 553rd, while Economedes is ranked 1153rd).
