Basketball Game Preview: Western Hills Mustangs vs. Kings Knights

The Western Hills Mustangs will face off against the Kings Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Western Hills fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Hughes on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 73-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the BIG RED. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the BIG RED are ranked 68th).

Meanwhile, Kings was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 56-51 to Winton Woods.

Kings' loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Western Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Western Hills was able to grind out a solid win over Kings in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 75-65. Will Western Hills repeat their success, or does Kings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
