Bishop Kelly is 8-2 against Skyview since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Knights will host the Hawks at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bishop Kelly has three straight victories, Skyview has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Bishop Kelly had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Caldwell on Tuesday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Cougars. Considering the Knights have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Margaret Acuna made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kingsley Shea, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Jaynie Burke was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Skyview took on Vallivue on Wednesday. The Hawks fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 8-7. That's two games in a row now that the Hawks have lost by just one run.
Paisley Hicks made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Lytle, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.
Skyview's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Bishop Kelly, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bishop Kelly hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .405. However, it's not like Skyview struggles in that department as they've averaged .352. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Bishop Kelly's way against Skyview in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Bishop Kelly made off with a 12-2 victory. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
