Trinity is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while East Pennsboro is on a six-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. Trinity will square off against East Pennsboro at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Trinity gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Kennard-Dale by a score of 9-5.
Trinity got a great performance from Liam Sexton as he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dominic Haas, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Trent Zoellner was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, while East Pennsboro put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Selinsgrove. East Pennsboro was the clear victor by a 14-0 margin over Selinsgrove.
Chase Deibler was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Deibler was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, East Pennsboro let Jovi DeJesus and Eric Foster Jr. run wild. DeJesus scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Foster Jr. scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Martz, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
East Pennsboro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Selinsgrove only posted an OBP of .211.
East Pennsboro's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.
Trinity couldn't quite get it done against East Pennsboro in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can Trinity avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
