Recap: Whippany Park Wildcats vs. Parsippany Redhawks

The Whippany Park Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parsippany. Whippany Park was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Parsippany apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Parsippany's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Charlie Cordasco led the charge by scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Cordasco scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Niedermaier, who scored 19 points.

Whippany Park has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Parsippany, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Whippany Park will be playing at home against Mountain Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Whippany Park is coming into the game with four straight losses at home, meaning Mountain Lakes will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Parsippany, they will head out on the road to challenge Morristown-Beard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Morristown-Beard knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Parsippany likes a good challenge.
