Basketball Recap: Ellenville Comes Up Short

If Ellenville was riding high fresh off their 51-26 takedown of Onteora last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ellenville Blue Devils took a 38-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monticello Panthers on Saturday. The game marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ellenville's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Monticello, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-5 record.

Ellenville will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Millbrook at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Monticello, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Monticello Panthers challenge the Warwick Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
