Baseball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence fell victim to Copper Canyon and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Aztecs, falling 15-0. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Aztecs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for Copper Canyon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3-1 record this season.

While Independence had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
