Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Takes a Loss

St. Joseph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Westhill Vikings, falling 70-46. The Cadets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why St. Joseph lost, don't look at Jayden Febus. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points and six assists. That's the most assists Febus has posted since back in January of 2024. TJ Wright was another key player, putting up 11 points.

St. Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Westhill, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.

St. Joseph didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-56 win against Trumbull on the 30th. As for Westhill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-53 victory against Stamford on the 1st.
