Recap: Liberty Chargers vs. Celebration Storm

Even though the Liberty Chargers have not done well against the Celebration Storm recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Liberty came out on top against Celebration by a score of 46-35. For Liberty, this counts as revenge for the 72-48 loss Celebration walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Liberty's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tasir Best led the charge by scoring 8 points along with 13 rebounds and 3 steals. Best hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lamar Lee, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.

When it comes to explaining why Celebration lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kendley Jean. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with 4 blocks.

Liberty now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Celebration, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will take on Foundation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Foundation Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. Celebration won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Freedom at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th.
