Baseball Recap: Barnstable's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional hit Barnstable with a five-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Hawks took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dolphins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dolphins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 back in April.

Barnstable's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-8-1. As for Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barnstable will head out to square off against New Bedford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, they will venture away from home to challenge Marshfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
