Basketball Recap: Hancock County Comes Up Short

Hancock County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-62 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grayson County Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Cougars are ranked 47th).

Hancock County's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Grayson County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-6.

As of now, neither Hancock County nor Grayson County have any future games scheduled.
