Basketball Recap: Pickett County Picks Up 13th Straight Win on the Road

Pickett County won the last time they faced Midway and things went their way on Friday too. The Pickett County Bobcats blew past the Midway Green Wave, posting a 77-44 victory. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 23 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Midway lost, don't look at Kyleigh Cawood. Despite the final result, she posted 16 points and five rebounds. That was a full 36.4% of Midway's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kiersten Ruffner, who had eight points.

Pickett County's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.9 points per game. As for Midway, their record is now 7-4.
