King's Academy dropped down to 10-12 on Monday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Wilson Hall Barons by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Barons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

As for Wilson Hall, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since August 22, 2024.

Leading Wilson Hall to victory were Savannah Wells and McKinley Bath. Wells had six digs and three aces, while Bath had ten kills, nine digs, and two aces. That's the most aces Wells has posted over her last nine matchups.

Coincidentally, King's Academy and Wilson Hall will both be playing Pee Dee Academy the next time they take the court. The Barons will head out to face the Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
