Softball Game Preview: Highland Tech Rams vs. Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles

For the second straight game, Highland Tech will face off against Pinnacle Classical Academy. Highland Tech will challenge Pinnacle Classical Academy on Friday. Highland Tech will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Highland Tech took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Pinnacle Classical Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Highland Tech had just enough and edged out Pinnacle Classical Academy 16-15 on Tuesday.

For Pinnacle Classical Academy's part, Maggie Gomez-Huffman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Jonas, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Pinnacle Classical Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Highland Tech's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Pinnacle Classical Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
