Baseball Recap: Hialeah Educational Academy Comes Up Short

Hialeah Educational Academy managed to slip by Miami Springs the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Hialeah Educational Academy lost 8-1 to Miami Springs on Wednesday. The Biggie were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Hawks earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

JEREMIAH ACOSTA was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, Hialeah Educational Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was BRIAN BOLANOS, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Hialeah Educational Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. The win was the fourth in a row for Miami Springs, bringing their record up to 16-2.
