Baseball Recap: Peoria Christian Takes a Loss

Peoria Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to the Macomb Bombers.

Peoria Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Gerig, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Gerig brought in this season.

Peoria Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Macomb, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peoria Christian will host Cuba/Spoon River Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Macomb, they will welcome Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
