Recap: Fort Bend Bush Broncos vs. Fort Bend Elkins Knights
The Fort Bend Bush Broncos were the 50-38 winner over the Fort Bend Elkins Knights when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Fort Bend Bush took a hard 64-46 fall against the Knights on Friday.
Several Broncos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Idia Orobor, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Danielle Okogwu, who scored ten points.
Fort Bend Bush has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season. As for Fort Bend Elkins, their victory bumped their record up to 12-18.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Bush will challenge the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Bend Austin presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Broncos in Texas (the Bulldogs are ranked 43rd, while the Broncos are ranked 747th). As for Fort Bend Elkins, they will head out on the road to take on the Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Bend Hightower will be looking to keep their 13-game home win streak alive.
