            Volleyball Recap: New Covenant Christian Flames vs. Dayspring Christian Academy Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            New Covenant Christian barely beat Dayspring Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Flames blew past the Warriors 3-0 on Friday. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Flames as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 The  3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant New Covenant Christian was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12,  25-12.

Leading New Covenant Christian to victory were  Zachary Worley and  Samuel Rotunda.  Worley  had 20  assists and seven  digs, while  Rotunda  had 13  digs and three  aces. Those  three  aces gave  Rotunda a new career-high.
 They weren't the only good server: New Covenant Christian  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with ten  aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  ace total in three consecutive  matchups.
New Covenant Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Dayspring Christian Academy,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. New Covenant Christian will  take on  rival York Catholic  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Dayspring Christian Academy is set to  challenge  their familiar foe West Shore Christian Academy  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
